Description from Goodreads:
Experience Ireland—the dramatic beauty, the warm hospitality…and the smoking hot local guys!

Imagine nursing a pint in a cozy, authentic country pub, far from Cork's busy city pulse. Getting here took you a plane, bus, taxi and…um, bicycle. But just as you're resigning yourself to drinking beside grey-haired farmers, you see him—a man with the looks and charm to soothe any heartbroken girl.

He's your bartender. Your really, really gorgeous bartender.

For American Jamie Webb—recently dumped and housesitting for two weeks—Connor Kelleher is like a six-course feast after a 23-year starvation diet. But it's gotta be casual. She's just begun rerouting her life after a three-year man-related detour. Still, a sexy romp (or twenty!) with Sexy McBartender?

But what happens when Jamie's best-laid plans for no future plans with any man begin to change?

My Review:
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Her Best Laid Plans is easily my favorite title from Cosmo Red Hot Reds.

Like with all of the other Cosmo Red Hot Reads, Her Best Laid Plans ran under 100 pages. But within those pages, McKenna manages to craft a story that you'll easily devour with characters that are easily loveable the moment the story begins.

I think my favorite thing about Her Best Laid Plans was that it wasn't an out-there kind of love story. It didn't center around a filthy rich guy and an innocent girl. Both Connor and Jaime were easy to relate to. They had normal jobs, normal lives, normal aspirations, and their love story isn't rushed. The end of the novella is really the beginning of their journey, and I found that to be refreshing. There wasn't talk about marriage or any of that. They both decided to see what could be, knowing very well that things might not work out how they hoped.

Her Best Laid Plans is ultimately a story about taking risks, not only in love but in life.

Would I recommend this title? Definitely. It's sweet, steamy, and worth a read.
