Description From Goodreads:
One Wild Night- EPISODE 1 in the first season of the Forever Wild Serial. (This is a six part series with one book releasing every 3 weeks)
One Wild Night Can Change Everything
Valerie Wilder doesn’t do serious relationships. She also doesn’t usually wake up in Vegas next to a male stripper…
A male stripper who happens to be her new husband.
A quickie divorce seems like the answer, but the Nevada legal system doesn’t think so. When her new husband suggests flying back to Chicago with Valerie she accepts, wondering if one night in Vegas could turn into something much more.
My Review:
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I’ve been following Magan’s work since she released How to Date an Alien back in 2011. Her books are always easy to plow through, and I always find myself enjoying them. And even though we’re only two installments into her latest series, Forever Wild, I know I’m going to love the entire series.
If you’re a fan of serialized novels, you’ll enjoy this series.
If you don’t enjoy the short format of serialized novels, you may want to skip this one, especially since each story ends with a bit of a cliffhanger.
Small confession: While I enjoyed The Only One, I didn’t entirely love it. But I did like Valerie, so once this series was announced, I immediately added it to my TBR list, and I’m so glad that I did.
One Wild Night starts with Valerie waking up beside Wes, a stripper she’d met the night before – a stripper that she got hitched to after a night of drinking. It seems like a cliché plot, right? That’s what I thought too, but it works.
There were some times where I wanted to shake Valerie, but all in all, both Valerie and Wes are enjoyable characters. And Wes? He’s rather swoon-worthy. I liked how he was the one trying to make things work when Val was the one ready to throw in the towel. He helps to keep the tone humorous when Val’s attitude gets a bit much.
Just a heads up: You’re going to want to have Wild Hearts on hand as soon as you finish One Wild Night, because One Wild Night ends on a cliffhanger.
