Saturday Update!

This Saturday Update is a bit all over the place today. My apologies.

1. Avengers: Age of Ultron: I happen to be one of the few that still eagerly awaits a new episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. every week. (Seriously, much like Buffy, AoS found itself near the end of the first season. It's an excellent hour of television with some fantastic female characters.) So when it was announced that the Age of Ultron trailer would be attached to next week's episode, I was a bit giddy. And then I realized that week of waiting would be hell. And then a day or two later, the trailer had found it's way online, and it was all sorts of amazing. Again, I'm a huge Marvel fan (and comic book fan in general), so I've been in total fangirl mode since. If you follow me on Tumblr, I apologize for all of the AoU related reblogs. I'm just a bit too excited at the possibility of them touching on Natasha's origin story (ballerinas were in the trailer, I'm expecting her back story!), at the possibility of Carol Danvers being in the movie, and well? Pretty much all of it, really.

2. Writing Playlists: I meant to share my playlists for both Arabella and Stouthearted a while back, but I honestly forget, so here you go:

3. What I've Been Reading: I'm (still) reading Seeker, mainly because I haven't been able to find time to finish it. I'm really enjoying it, I just need time to sit down and read. I've also been trying to get through my stack of comics I need to catch-up on. Comics I've read recently that I would recommend picking up? Edge of Spider-Verse: Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman (I love everything about this one-shot*), the Bob's Burgers comics (they are just as great as the show), Ms. Marvel (the last issue wasn't my favorite, but this is a solid series), Captain Marvel (like with Ms. Marvel, the last issue I read wasn't my favorite, but this series is worth following), She-Hulk (this is actually getting canceled come January, but Soule's run is fantastic even if you don't care for the art), and Moon Knight (this is a violent comic, but the storytelling is excellent).

*It's worth noting that the excellent response to Edge of Spider-Verse: Gwen Stacy Spider-Woman has led to Gwen getting her own solo series as Spider-Woman in 2015.

4. New Paperbacks: My new copy of Deprogrammed came in along with my copy of Stouthearted. I love these covers. I have some amazing cover designers.

I don't have any writing updates this week because I haven't made much progress on anything. I've been working on As We Fall at every chance possible, but until I hit the halfway point on that one, I won't be sharing any teasers. As for The Untold Stories and The Program Manual, those should be available in December. I don't have a set release date yet, but I'm hoping I will soon.

There's one last thing that I wanted to touch on. It's a question I'm often asked... Do I plan on attending any conventions as an author? There's a reason I haven't done this yet. It isn't because I don't want to, trust me, I do. It's just not that simple. I suffer from severe anxiety. It's to the point where just thinking about being around a ton of people makes me physically ill. (I'm barely able to handle going to conventions as a guest because the crowding makes me incredibly uncomfortable.) I'm a quiet person that suffers from perma bitch face, sadly. I promise, I'm nice, I just don't know how to act in social situations when I don't know someone. And then there's also the factor of money. Going to a convention as an author is a heck of a lot more than just attending as a guest. I barely make enough money to pay my bills, so when I want to go somewhere? It takes a lot of pre-planning to make it financially work, and so far? I haven't been able to. It also doesn't help that I don't sell a lot of books.
I work full-time because I can't survive on what I make writing. (I'm not going to get into numbers, but let's just say I should probably stop publishing, like yesterday.) The amount of money I spend on book covers, editing, etc? It is a lotttttt. And when I'm not making even a tiny portion of that money back? It's hard to even consider blowing a little under a grand to attend a convention. I would love to meet my readers, honestly. That is one thing I would REALLY love to do. (Although, I'd end up being insanely awkward.) It just isn't possible right now.

Now to try and get some reading & writing done.

Saturday Update!

I haven't done a Saturday Update post in some time, but since I actually have some fun things to share this weekend, I figured I'd do one. =)

1. The Humane Zombie: I wrote a short story specifically for an anthology call about a month ago. I'm happy to announce it will be a part of that anthology! It'll be out in October. Once I have more information to share, I'll let you all know!
2. Arabella: I booked the cover designer for the Arabella cover! I'm really excited. I know Christa is going to do an awesome job on the cover. It'll be ready in early July, and the eBook should release towards the end of the month. It'll be a digital release only, there will not be a paperback copy. I haven't said much about Arabella just yet, and that's because I'm not finished with it. What I will say is that Arabella is a mix between Buffy and Black Widow. She's a superhero, she's deadly, and she's witty. It's dark at times, but it also has a campiness to it, which helps to even things out. It's probably my favorite thing I've written to date. You can add Arabella on Goodreads by going here.
3. Stouthearted: I posted the entire first [unedited] chapter on Wattpad. Unfortunately, Facebook hates me, and last I checked, the three posts I put up had been shown to zero people. So, if you want to read it, here you go. (Seriously, I hate Facebook and I'm probably going to start making use of my mailing list in the coming months.)
4. Decoding Evie: I tried the submission route with this one, but I gave up. For me, the story is the perfect length (it's around 15,000 words). It was never intended to be a novel or a long novella. I wrote it for fun, so instead of finding a home for it, I'm going to finally release it this summer! I'm thinking late August as I need time to do a few more rounds of editing first. And yes, it will have a new cover. Like Arabella, this will be a digital only release.
5. Collide: I stopped updating Collide on Wattpad. There's a good reason for this, I promise. There's a publisher that I've been wanting to query with Collide for some time now, but I had to wait until I knew that they were accepting unagented submissions. Now that I know they are, I've decided to submit it to them. I know that it is taking forever to bring you guys this book, and I apologize, but for me, this feels like the book that I need to keep trying with. I really do believe in Collide. If I self-publish it, I'll be giving up the first rights, and no publisher is going to want to come near it unless I have amazing sales numbers. (And well, I'm not a huge seller.)
6. Survival Instinct: I will be contacting a cover designer to make the cover for this book over the next couple of months. I need to finalize the synopsis first, as well as estimate the final word count. But expect a cover reveal in August.

Other things worth noting that aren't nearly as important:

I updated the cover for The Yearning. Don't worry, this one is going to stick. =)

I'm working on my 2015 release schedule. It's a bit bare at the moment, but I'm share that'll change. There is a lot that I want to write next year, but it's all going to come down to what you guys want from me. If you want more New Adult, I'll work on that for 2015. If you want more science fiction, I can do that. Feel free to let me know!

Here is what I have lined up for 2015 so far:
  • Release (The Lunica City Duet, Book Two): The conclusion to Capture. This is a YA fantasy/science fiction read. Aiming for a May 2015 release.
  • As We Rise (The Shaden Duet, Book Two): The conclusion to As We Fall. This is a YA science fiction novel. Aiming for an August 2015 release.
  • Grow Up & Blow Away: This is a standalone new adult contemporary novel. Aiming for a February 2015 release.
  • End It On This: This is a contemporary romance told in multiple formats. Free verse poetry. Journal entries. Prose. It's a standalone title, and it probably won't be ready until mid 2015.
So yeah, that's really nothing.
It feels kind of weird not to have a huge schedule. I mean, coming into 2014 I nearly passed out looking at what I had planned. (I'm still surprised I've managed to finish most of what was on my schedule.) But 2015 being light is a good thing. It means I don't have to worry about finishing a series. I can focus on giving my readers more of what they want. And that's always a good thing!

Also, I shared the first teaser from Arabella on Facebook awhile back. For those that missed it, here you go. This scene is actually from the prologue:

Saturday Update!

I haven't done one of these in some time. Sorry about that!

I'm currently in the middle of doing NaNo. Today is day 9 and, as of right now, I'm a little over 15,000 words into Rebooted. I'm hoping to finish the night at 17,000 words. *fingers crossed*

Guys, don't hate me if Rebooted ends up being super long. I thought Submerged was long at 76,000 words. I'm only on chapter six and I'm already at 15,000 words. On the plus side? I'm reading through Program 13, Allegiance, and Deprogrammed while I'm working on Rebooted in order to make sure that I tie up all of the loose ends.

While writing Rebooted, I'm also editing Collide. And trying to catch-up on my reading. I'm almost finished reading My Favorite Mistake by Chelsea M. Cameron, and I'm really enjoying it! I'm going to squeeze Sentinel in this weekend, because I'm dying over here. I've been staring at it since it came in, and it is plain tortureeeeeee having to put it off. But I need to write.

Some other updates:
  • I'm working with a cover designer on an updated cover for Program 13. It won't be changing much, but the paperback jackets will be pretty now, so yay! The newly updated cover for Program 13 will probably be ready in late December/early January.
  • I've reached out to another designer to help me fix the cover for Submerged. I want the covers for Submerged and Stouthearted to feel similar, and right now? The cover idea I have for Stouthearted doesn't work with the current cover for Submerged. Don't worry, the cover image won't be changing - just the font and such.
  • I re-released We Are All Strangers. You can purchase it here.
  • I also updated the cover for No Place Like Home (shown below). The paperbacks look a lot better now, and the feel fits the story more. (The story is pretty dark.)

If you haven't liked my Facebook page yet, you're missing out! I've been posting a lot of teasers from Rebooted exclusively on my Facebook page. (If you haven't read Deprogrammed, you should probably avoid them, but I am trying to be careful to avoid spoilers.)

Fun Fact: I wrote the first draft of No Place Like Home in early 2011, shortly after I finished drafting the first draft of Program 13. (If you recall, I wrote the first draft of Program 13 in January 2011 after I finished the edits on Capture, my NaNo 2010 novel.)
I'm thinking that since Rebooted is the final book in Emile's story (again, McVeigh's novel is a companion novel), that I may work on stand-alone novella after I finished working on Stouthearted. I've been wanting to write a novella for a few months now, and I just haven't had the time. But I'm going to try and fit it in my writing schedule. ;)

Saturday Update!

Wow, it has been forever since I've done one of these!

Where I've been: I've been terrible at updating this blog/reviewing books. Being sick has made it difficult. I don't know how many of you remember but, back in March, I went to my doctor because I had a lump in my neck and it hurt really, really, really bad. At that point, she thought it was nothing more than a pulled muscle and gave me some pain cream to use. It worked. For about a day or two, and over the next few months, it went from being one lump to being three. I ended up going back to her last week, where we found out it was actually an infection (from a sinus infection and/or ear infection) that ended up dripping into my neck, which led to the harden lumps. I'm on antibiotics now and I'm actually starting to feel better. I do have to get my knee taken care of still, since the MRI revealed there was severe bruising and a build up on my right knee, which makes it painful to walk at times. Other than that, I'm a lot better than I have been for a few months now. I don't want you all to feel as though I've been ignoring any of you or that I've lost interest in the blog. That isn't the case at all. :)

Deprogrammed is live! Amazon has it listed as 159ish pages for the Kindle. While Deprogrammed is shorter than Program 13, I can assure you, it is over 200 pages. They estimate the page count, so don't let that scare you. The reason that Deprogrammed is shorter is because I wanted to end the story naturally. Considering I still have a third novel to write and two digital shorts, I didn't want to drag out the second installment just to build my word count. Plus, Deprogrammed will be followed by Standby and a collection of short stories featuring four characters from Deprogrammed. The short stories should help to answer a good amount of questions raised after reading book two (everything does tie together). FYI: The short story collection will be free.

Standby: Hayden's digital short is going to be darker than the other stories. (If you've read Deprogrammed, you know how this short is going to begin and you'll understand what I mean.) He's easily one of my favorite characters from this series, so I'm enjoying giving him his own short, but it is a bit difficult to write. I mean, I know where the story is going, I've had this thought out long before I even started writing Program 13. I knew where the characters would end up, so I should've known what was coming, but...

Submerged Prequel Novella: If you follow me on Twitter, or if you like my Facebook page, chances are you've seen me mention a possible Submerged prequel novella. It would serve as a companion story, and it would take place at the unsought of the Outbreak. Taylen and company would not be making an appearance. This would feature all new characters, an entirely new threat, etc. If it is something you'd want to read, let me know. Right now it is only an idea. (And no, I don't have any updates on Submerged # 2 just yet. Sorry lovelies. Soon, I promise!)

Street Team: I've had some interest in the street team, but not very much. So, after I send out the next batch of packages, I'm most likely just going to shut it down. :\ On the plus side? This will mean more giveaways on the blog! (Signed copies, ARCs, swag, gift-cards, etc.)

Audiobooks: No Place Like Home is available as an audiobook! If you're looking for a quick read - er, listen - why not check it out? Is Love: Volume 1 should be available within the next week, and Submerged will be available in a few months. (The narrator for Submerged is pretty awesome!)

Saturday Update & New to My Shelves (27)!

I'm combining the Saturday Update and New to My Shelves post this week, as I won't be around much tomorrow. (I will have Is Love: Volume 2 uploaded late tomorrow, but that is about it.)
  • I haven't been around too much as of late for a lot of reasons. I've been sick. (Yes, still.) Two weeks ago, the doctor diagnosed me with a bad ear infection, which then spread, and left my neck swollen. So I haven't really been able to spend much time in front of my laptop writing. She gave me a new prescription, so I'm hoping that'll work. If it doesn't, she has a few other ideas in store, so I'm hoping all will be well soon.
  • On top of that, my dog isn't doing too well. She has been biting at her paw, so much so that she's now limping and her paw has been bleeding. She has an appointment with the vet on Monday, so until then, I have to keep a close eye on her.
  • I'm also working on Collide rewrites and Deprogrammed (draft number two, as the first one was trashed).
  • Is Love: Volume 2 releases tomorrow. I'm excited to release this one. Mainly because Kieran makes an appearance in it! It won't be uploaded until late tomorrow night, as I have a ton of running around to do, but it will be on Amazon at some point tomorrow!

eBooks Purchased:
  • Imitation (Clone Chronicles #1) by Heather Hildenbrand
  • On an Edge of Glass by Autumn Doughton
  • The Ashes: an Eden prequel by Keary Taylor
  • The Raid: an Eden short story by Keary Taylor
  • End Dayz (The Hitchhiker Strain 0.5) by Kellie Sheridan
  • The Memory Coder (Unremembered Companion Short Story) by Jessica Brody
  • Great Exploitations (Mischief in Miami) by Nicole Williams

What books did you pick up this week?!

Saturday Update!

I actually have a lot to talk about this Saturday:
  • I'm working on finishing up Volume 1 of the Is Love novelette series. The first installment will be released in late January, the second installment in late February and the final installment in late March. If you're interested in beta reading Volume 1, please send an e-mail to NicoleWritesYA[at]gmail[dot]com. I need people willing to tell me when I screw up (which tends to be a lot, haha).
  • I'm also working on Collide, which I really, really, really love. As someone in her early twenties, I'm thoroughly enjoying writing this one. As soon as Is Love (Vol. 1) is done, I will be focusing on this novel. I'm still planning on releasing it in February, however, if I can't finish the manuscript by January 14th, that might change. I need time for editing (well, to hire an editor), so we'll see. I'm working my butt off right now to get it done on time. If I cut out the naps, we should be good. ;)
  • I released We Are All Strangers, a collection of short stories, on December 24th. As of right now, you can only purchase it through Amazon and Smashwords. The collection includes six of my short stories, all of which center around secrets. You can purchase the eBook for $0.99, or you can pick-up a paperback copy for $4.50 from Amazon. (Note: For some reason the font switches sizes on the Smashwords edition. I'm working on fixing that now, so if you're copy is a bit off, you can always re-download it when I upload the new file.)
  • I have a lot of projects going on right now. A lot. But even though I'm focusing on the Emile Reed series, I have not forgotten about Capture. There will be a collection of shorts released around May 2013. (Note: Release does not have a set release date yet, but I'm aiming for Fall 2013.) The Thanksgiving Day short, as well as the Christmas POV special, will be included, but it'll mainly be short stories featuring various characters from Capture.
  • Oh, and Capture might be getting a cover change. I contacted a cover designer for a quote, so we'll see!
  • I'm having some issues with the swag I ordered for Allegiance (they are having trouble printing the bookmarks correctly), so if you're waiting on swag from me, just know that it'll probably be a bit before I send anything out. I'm working with them right now to try and fix it, but as of right now, it looks like I'm going to have to adjust a few things in order for the bookmarks to be printed correctly.
  • Submerged has a series name. Okay, fine, it is only a duology, but I'm planning some shorts (one of which explains why Glate is in the Family Sector and why he agrees to help Taylen). From now on, I will refer to Submerged as the Outbreak series (you'll understand why when you read it). The book is still in query-land, so I don't actually have any news to share, but I'm hoping I'll receive a response soon.
I'm going to try and post something special for New Year's Day. Not sure which series it'll be from, or what it'll be, but I'm working on something for all of you.

Before I end this: I have a special task for all of you: If you can help me reach twelve reviews on Program 13 by January 1st, I will do a giveaway for the entire Lux series (well, what has been released so far) by Jennifer L. Armentrout - yes, that does include a pre-order copy of Shadows in paperback.

I'm off to work on Is Love (Volume 1) and get some much needed reading done!

Saturday Update!

This is super late, but I've been incredibly busy today, so I haven't really been near my computer. But! I do have some updates. :)

If you "like" me on Facebook, chances are you've already seen the new covers for the Emile Reed series. If you don't, well, I changed the covers. I loved the original covers, but distributors weren't happy with the barcode font used on the covers (understandable). In order to avoid fighting with them, I decided to give the series a face lift.

Here are the new covers for Program 12, Program 13 and Allegiance:

I'm not the best with Photoshop, but I like how they came out.

I've also contacted a professional cover designer to re-do the cover for Capture. So it is safe to say that I've been in cover hell this weekend, haha.

Now, onto "Collide": There are TWO versions of Collide. Yeah, I know, I know. There's the version that I've been sharing teasers from, and then there's the version I started on Friday. The one that I've been sharing teasers from? It is going to be reworked and turned into a different book. The new one that I started on Friday? That one is Collide. It's definitely more Gemma and Ben, and I reallyyyyyy can't wait to share it with all of you in February.

Tomorrow I plan on locking myself in my room to work on chapter six of Capture from Ian's POV (editing), and We Are All Strangers. I still have to do one final read through on two shorts before I hit publish on that one.

These should be coming in soon (Allegiance bookmarks):

Those of you who have signed up for the Emile Reed street team (there are only two of you so far), you will receive these shortly after they come in.

I also ordered some Collide swag. Look for a giveaway for that in late January. ;)

Look for reviews over the weekend!

<3 Nicole

12.08.2012

Saturday Update.

  • Allegiance is done and currently with my betas. There will need to be a few tweaks before it is ready for the public, but I'm quite happy with it. Especially the ending. I've said this before, but I think I need to say it again: Things get crazy in Deprogrammed.
  • I'm working on the chapter from Capture (also coming on the 25th), as well as the Is Love series. I'm super excited because, after this, I get to dive back into Collide.
  • Submerged is officially in the query stage. I hate this part of writing, I genuinely do, mainly because I suck at writing query letters, but the least they can do is say no, right? I'm currently waiting on a response from one publisher in particular, if they reject the title, I'm going to self-publish it. If I do that, you can expect it around March 2013 (this way I'll have time to hire an editor and such). And for those of you who don't follow me on Twitter: I've decided to write a sequel to Submerged. So Submerged will now be the first of a duology. I'm super excited, yet also terrified to jump back into Taylen's world.
  • Back to Collide: I'm going to have to change the name of Cole. If you have some name suggestions, feel free to post them below. If I pick your suggestion, you'll receive a  special "thank you" in the acknowledgements of Collide when it is published in February.
  • And a final note: The digital shorts for the Emile Reed series will be published in a paperback collection in late 2013 (after New Beginnings is released).
I'm not going to be available today since I'll be going into work and then heading to my local Jingle Ball concert to see Ed Sheeran. If you need to get a hold of me, Twitter is probably your best bet. :)

10.27.2012

Saturday Update!

This is going to be short since I'm at work, but I figured I'd update you guys on what is going on. I'll leave out Allegiance updates, as I talked about those yesterday.

A Program 13 Promo Giveaway: As of November 1st, Program 13 will return to $2.99 on Amazon. Until then, it is available for $0.99. So, I've decided to host a bit of a giveaway. If you help me spread the word over these next few days (through tweets, Facebook posts, etc), I'll give you a signed paperback copy of either Program 13 or Capture (your choice), as well as a $10 Amazon giftcard. How do you enter? Send me an e-mail by the 2nd with your links (tweets, FB posts, Goodreads status updates, blog posts, etc), and include your mailing address (must be within the US). I'll randomly pick a winner by November 5th.

And because I've been failing at promoting Capture: If you post your review on Amazon (good or bad), send me an e-mail (NicoleWritesYA[at]gmail[dot]com). I'll randomly pick one reviewer to win an eBook copy of Abbi Glines' latest book, Just for Now. You have until November 10th to do so.

I have a few short stories available on Smashwords for free: Rare Talents, The Yearning, and Program 12 (which is also free on Amazon). The Yearning is a prequel to a book I'm outlining, but Rare Talents is a one-shot piece. Feel free to download them. If you like them, or even if you hate them, I'd appreciate it if you left reviews on Amazon. :)

NaNoWriMo begins on the 1st, so my posts are going to be sporadic. I do have a few upcoming reviews: Passion and Pain (Nov. 2nd), Elixir (Nov. 1st), The Super Spies and the Cat Lady Killer, and The Super Spies and the High School Bomber (Super Spies #2) (reviews will be up by the 5th). Other than that, if I'm not around, sorry! I'll be in my writing cave knocking out Collide.

Fun bits of information: Capture was my 2010 NaNo novel; Program 13 was written immediately following Capture. So my goal this year is to knock out Collide, and then the first half of Deprogrammed.

And just because, here is a teaser from Submerged:

You suck, I mouthed to Glate. He reached forward and took a hold of my hand and pulled me to my feet. “It’s okay,” he whispered, brushing my hair behind my ear. “We both know you’re secretly in love with me.”

Saturday Update!

Just a few updates today as I'm sick and I don't have much to share:

First off: Signed copies! If you live within the US and you'd like a signed copy of any of my books, you can order them using the button below! There is a $5 shipping charge. That might seem expensive, but I'll be shipping the book using Priority Mail, as I've had terrible experiences with Media Mail (the post office seems to like to lose packages).

Signed Paperback Copies

Now onto writing updates:
I might be doing a bit of a switcharoo with release dates for early 2013. This is mainly because I've fallen behind. I'm way off schedule now thanks to being sick not once, but twice, within the past two months. Not to mention my extended work hours, and the fact that I'll be going out of state in January. I'll let you know next month if this is the case. The main delay would be Deprogrammed. It might be pushed back to May (its original expected release). I don't want to release crap. I really don't. I want to make sure that I have enough time to write something I'm proud of, instead of just hurrying to release something.

Concerning the Emile Reed Chronicles: I've read a few reviews in which readers didn't understand how the Programs functioned. Since both Program 12 and Program 13 were through the POV of a Program, that wasn't explained. But Allegiance should help to answer some of those questions. Just keep in mind, there are still a ton of stories to come from this series (two more books and three digital shorts).

And finally, a note about Capture: I was supposed to post a chapter from Ian's POV last week. That didn't happen. I'm sorry about that. I'm still working on it. It's hard to focus on Capture when I've been out of that world for awhile now (for those unaware: Capture was written in 2010). That is actually why the sequel is scheduled for a Fall 2013 release. I do plan on posting the chapter once I'm finished with it. I just don't know when that'll be. I'd suggest keeping an eye on my FB page for updates on that.

I'm going to attempt to knock out 15k this weekend (it is actually doable if I focus), so I'm avoiding the interweb...well, I'm trying to. If you've sent me an e-mail and I haven't responded, I'm sorry. I'm not ignoring you. I'm trying to be a good little writer and stay away from the internet, so that I can actually get some work done.

To everyone who has been spreading the word about Program 13, Capture, No Place Like Home, etc... I just want to say thank you. You guys are awesome. Seriously. You make the headache that is writing worth it. <3

10.13.2012

Saturday Update!

This is pretty late in the day, but here it is!

My internet is finally back up! Apparently my ISP finally figured out the issue was on their end, and not mine. How nice of them. ;) So now I'm wasting time "researching" (aka spending countless hours shopping on Amazon and browsing Tumblr), instead of writing.

But! I think that is about to change.
I went and watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower today since it was finally out in my area, and honestly, if you have yet to see it, you need to go. Now. It's absolutely fantastic. The Perks movie gave me the motivation I've been needing to rework Grow Up & Blow Away. For those of you who don't know, GU&BA is a novel I've been working on for about three years now. It's a contemporary novel about a young girl named Everleigh and the struggles she deals with in life. It's a NA novel, and it's pretty dark. It's a project that was inspired by my own experiences, so it's pretty personal, which might be the reason it is taking so long for me to finish the first draft, but after seeing Perks, I'm finally inspired to go back to it. I'm working on the new outline, and I'm planning to return to working on it ASAP.

And because I didn't get a chance to talk about the awesomeness that was Looper last weekend, I just want to say this: if you like sci-fi movies, you REALLY need to go watch Looper. It's going to become a classic, that's how freaking good it is.

I'm off to write for the rest of the day. If you'd like a bookmark (see below), please shoot me an e-mail. I can only ship them to the US/CAN right now, sorry!

P.S. I'll pick giveaway winners on Monday or Tuesday, so you can enter for either The Forsaken or Deity until then. If you have no clue what I'm taking about, search the "giveaway" tag on my blog. :)
