Now, onto the update portion of this post... the audio books! I'm proud to announce that Decoding Evie will officially be released as an audio book later this year. The perfect narrator has signed on to record the novella, and I can't wait to hear what she does with this rom-com short love story. This makes for the third audio book I have in production, alongside Program 12 and Program 13, which are also set to release later this year.

I'm hoping to add Capture and Stouthearted to that list, too, but I haven't had as much luck finding the right narrators for those, sadly. And for fans that were hoping to have the narrator for Submerged back for the sequel, I don't think that's going to happen -- although, I'd love if it did! -- but I'm definitely working on finding someone with the same kind of narration for Stouthearted.

As for upcoming releases... I'm nearly finished with the second installment of Collide, which is getting a makeover and re-release from InkSpell Publishing. The new cover won't be ready for a couple of months yet, but I'm set to kick off edits on the first installment relatively soon! I've enjoyed diving back into this world with these characters and I'm glad that they're getting a second chance. The group -- Gemma, Ben, Molly, Nate, etc. -- are just pure fun to write, even when things get heavy from time to time. The first installment will be on sale this December. If you haven't already, make yourself familiar with these characters!

And finally, a quick update on Rebirth. I have a release date locked in, but I can't put the book up for pre-order on Amazon just yet. That's because pre-orders can't be listed more than three months out, so it'll be a bit before you ca pre-order it there. I am, however, working on getting the pre-orders live on Draft2Digital, so stay tuned!

New to My Shelves!

It has been quite some time since I've done one of these, but since I didn't have a second review ready for this week, I figured it was time to get back into old habits.

I really should avoid the book sale, but I couldn't. (In my defense, I did take my nephew who really wanted to go, so it's really not my fault.) I managed to snag the complete Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy for under five bucks, and since I (sadly) haven't read it yet, I couldn't help myself. I also managed to find a brand new copy of Flat-Out Love, as well as a semi-used Buffy book to add to my ever-growing collection.

I will be keeping up with blogging, but after being diagnosed with liver issues, I will only be able to maintain 2 reviews a week. Hopefully, things will calm down in the coming months and I'll be able to up my reading limit in due time.

Small confession? I actually haven't read Wicked yet. I did start it a couple of times, and made it about fifty pages in before I had to stop reading for various reason. One of which wasn't because I didn't like it. (It's JLA, I'm bound to love it.) So I figured grabbing Torn now would be the push I need to jump back in.

New to My Shelves!

I'm slowly easing myself back into things. I've been writing steadily for a few days now. I've started reading again. (I'm currently reading Dualed and really liking it.) And I'm easing myself back into working out now that I can finally move about for longer than an hour without feeling as though I'm about pass out. I know that doesn't sound like much, but given how I've been feeling for the past month (heck, the past two years, honestly), all of this is a big deal to me.

Anyway, I made the mistake of visiting Book Outlet yet again and picked up a few books.

As for health updates.... things were going better, but now I'm sick, so it's a step backwards. The migraines are back, and I'm having trouble swallowing again. Still, I expect to be back to reading/writing/blogging this week. Maybe not to the extent that I'm used to, but I won't be taking another break. I do go for an MRI on my brain in two weeks, so I'm hoping they'll have a better idea what is going on then.

New to My Shelves!

I ended up going to my local library's book sale last weekend because I needed to get out of the house. I figured it was close by, so if I got dizzy or sick, I'd be able to get home quickly. (Other than work, I've pretty much been confining myself to my bedroom for the past two weeks. That's how bad my headaches and how bad the dizzy spells have been.) I didn't stay too long, but I was able to grab a few good books during my quick trip. The rest were all from Book Outlet... except for The Return & Ready Player One.

As for Bared to You, a friend of mine recommended the Crossfire trilogy to me since I don't care for Fifty Shades of Grey, so I was excited to find the first book at the library's used book sale for only $1!

New to My Shelves!

I purchased a signed copy of Witches of Echo Park by Amber Benson through Midtown Comics. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to grab a ticket for her signing during NYCC, so I had to jump on the chance to purchase a signed copy.

I received a copy of Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire through BookMooch. This is a book I've been putting off reading as I've heard veryyyy mixed things about it, but I decided I'd finally give it a go soon.
