As I'm sure most of you know, I closed Nicole's YA Book Haven on June 16th. It was just too much to handle with my already hectic life. But that doesn't mean I'm done blogging about books. This is my writing blog, yes, but I will still be posting reviews.
I'm currently reading Wake by Amanda Hocking, and then diving into Deity by Jennifer L. Armentrout next (seriously, best mailbox surprise ever!) so expect reviews for them within the next week. I'll finally be posting my review for Ascend by Amanda Hocking in with my Wake review, since I was supposed to post that forever ago.
I am open to blog tours, but again, I won't be joining them like I was before. It will be a limited thing, as I don't have the time to run a full blown book blog right now.
Author interviews? Still open to them.
Cover reveals? Still open to them.
Giveaways? Still open to them.
Reviews? I'll be posting them, yes, but I won't be accepting review requests from authors. Publishers, however, can contact me using my e-mail NLSobon[at]gmail[dot]com.
This blog, for the most part, will be about my self-publishing journey.
To end this entry: I'm writing a short-story that I hope to submit to Spencer Hill Press' submission call for an upcoming anthology. I'm a huge SPH fangirl (they are one of the only publishers in which I automatically pre-order every one of their titles immediately), so I'd love to have them pick up one of my projects...even if it is only a short-story. I'm also planning on submitting a novel to them in 2013, one that I haven't talked about on here. ;)
And finally: I will be releasing a photo ABC book in late 2012/early 2013. Yes. Really. I'll be shooting the photos over the next few weeks, and then I'll begin working on the pages. It'll be a full color paperback (most likely an 8x10). As of right now, I'm not sure whether it'll be an eBook, as it's going to be a pain in the butt to format for e-readers, but we'll see. If that goes well, I may do other photo books. *fingers crossed*
