Description From Goodreads:
"Wardrobe malfunction" doesn't begin to cover it.

With a rip louder than the "I dos," Hayley's hideous bile-yellow bridesmaid dress explodes. She's always had enviable curves, but nearly naked wasn't quite the look she'd been going for at her ex's wedding.

She's rushed from the altar under the best man's designer tux jacket. Hayley's expecting a blast of icy disapproval from sexy, sophisticated Niccolò Rossi—his usual reaction to anything she does. What she gets is a kiss that nearly melts what's left of her polyester nightmare gown.

It's impossible on a million levels. Exuberant engineer Hayley and buttoned-up lawyer Nico have never seen eye to eye—but skin to skin? Oh, mio… So when Nico shows up at her flat on Christmas Day to give her a fabulous gift—himself—Hayley's delighted to do the unwrapping. But it's just a holiday fling. By New Year's Day, she'll come back to her senses…unless Nico's sensual skills tear away all her resolve.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*This is an adult title!*

Ripped is a short, steamy read.

I like my romance stories to have plenty of humor and strong female characters, and Ripped has both of those.

I flew through this novella, losing myself in Hayley and Nico’s story.

I think what I enjoyed most about this story was how Hayley and Nico’s relationship developed. It wasn’t rushed. It developed over time. Sure, there was the physical attraction very early on, but the emotional connection? That came near the end.

I’m not entirely sure how to review this novella, given that it is quite short, so I’m going to keep it simple:

Nico – He’s a swoon worthy male lead. In fact, he may just be my new favorite male lead (from an adult fiction romance). I loved that he wanted Hayley to be herself – that he didn’t want her to feel as though she had to create a different persona for the public like her last ex, who just so happened to be his friend. He’s very supportive of Hayley, and incredibly sweet. And yeah. He is definitely fangirl worthy.

Hayley – Perhaps my favorite part of Ripped was the emotional growth Hayley went through. She’s a strong character with plenty of sass that thinks emotionless sex is the answer to her all of her problems, until Nico steps in to save the day. She finds herself wanting to open up to him; like she can be herself around him. He helps her to realize just how much Charlie had changed her when she was with him, how he made her into someone that she wasn’t. The Hayley that we end the story with is a lot more confident and sure than the Hayley we meet in the beginning of the story.
