Description From Goodreads:
Her New Year’s resolution was seduction.

Doctor Ashley Hanes has one mission and one mission only—end her annoyingly long dry streak and ring in the New Year with a bang. Literally. When her long lost and oh-so-sexy ex-best friend, Ethan Pierce, shows up as if he hadn’t broken her heart all those years ago, suddenly she doesn’t want to bring home just any man. She wants Ethan.

What should have been one night of blow-your-mind make-up sex quickly turns into another. And another. Before long, Ashley thinks maybe she and Ethan should reunite for good. If only the elusive bachelor will stop running from his tortured past and trust a future in Ashley’s arms.

My Review:
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I finished KISS ME AT MIDNIGHT in a matter of hours after finding myself unable to put it down.
The story is about Ashely, a girl looking for a night of fun on New Year’s Eve, and Ethan, her best friend from high school who’s looking for a night of company in a town he wants nothing to do with. When Ethan approaches Ashley, not realizing it’s her at first, he finds himself having to convince her that he’s changed and that he’s sorry for the way he treated her years ago after a simple misunderstanding left him walking away without any sort of explanation.
Ashely is hesitant at first, but she eventually accepts his apology and, come the end of the night, she finds herself leading him back to her place.
It was supposed to be a one night thing. But once they both come to admit that it’s more than that – though they can’t quite figure out what it is – they find themselves eager for more.
It’s a cute NYE story. Sure, it has its predictable moments, but really? I didn’t mind them. I actually liked knowing where the story was headed because that was where I wanted the story to go. (Plus, Ethan is all sorts of adorable.)
Would I recommend checking out KISS ME AT MIDNIGHT? Yes. If you enjoy a good romance, definitely pick it up. It’s a short read full of steam, humor, and wonderful characters.
