Special teaser: "Collide"!

I'm still holding off on revealing the cover until October 1st, as well as the synopsis, but today I have a sneak peek at my New Adult contemporary title coming in March 2013.

This book is the exact opposite of what I usually write, which is exactly what I needed to escape cyborgland (aka Vesta Corp) for a bit. The scene I'm showcasing today takes place at a house party.

Without further ado, here is your first look at Collide (and probably last until December):

“Why are you still with this jerk?” Cole sat back on his heels and pressed his beer bottle to his lips.
“I wish I knew,” I said, leaning back against the wall. “Honestly, it’s more of a comfort thing at this point.”
“I see.” He pursed his lips and ran his fingers through his light brown hair. “You deserve better than some lame party boy, Gem. A lot better.”
My heart pounded in my chest. It was though the entire room had fallen silent and it was just Cole and me. “Says you, the boy who only made time for his best friend at the mention of free beer,” I finally choked out.
Oh how I hoped that he didn’t see the blush creeping up into my cheeks. He’d never let me live it down.
“I didn’t come for the beer, Gemma.” He smirked. “Although, I won’t lie, it was an added bonus.”
“Then why did you come, Cole?” My voice broke with uncertainty knowing that the chances of him saying the words I longed to hear were slim.
“For you,” he said. “I came because I needed to see you.”







I'm excited to join the New Adult world, and I hope that come March, you guys fall in love with Gemma and Cole as much as I have. =)

Oh, and here's a fun fact: the title actually came from the song "Collide" by Howie Day.
